New to the Street? - Rodman Street | Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church

Whether you’re looking for a church in the area, or have already visited and are looking to get more connected, you’ve come to the right place. Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church is located in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are affectionately known as “The Street”. Our members come from various walks of life and different church backgrounds, but have found common ground in our passionate worship, great hospitality, intentional faith development, biblical teaching and strong desire for following Jesus Christ and serving our community.

Learn more about God’s Design for You. During this time, we will examine what the Bible says about spiritual gifts and help you begin the process to discover your spiritual gifts and determine how to use them.

When you first walk into Rodman Street, there are Ushers (Greeters) available to answer your questions and help you find your way. If you have kids, we offer Children’s Church and Teen Church during our 10:00 am worship service. Children’s Church is a specially designed worship service for our 6-12 year olds and it is offered on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays. We also offer Teen Church for 13-18 year olds on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays. The children and teens will be dismissed from the main corporate worship service after we welcome all of our guests.

Sometime after the beginning of service, we make a general announcement to visitors and our congregation will welcome you to “The Street” (the Greatest Church on this side of Heaven). If you are a first time visitor we will give you a special gift from our Pastor and Church family that includes an information card that will assist us in getting to know you better. Also we recognize all who are celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries any time during the week and sing a special Happy Birthday to You.

On First Sundays, we offer communion at both worship services at 9:00 am. We offer a weekly Bible Study (Word-up Wednesdays) at 12:00 noon. Children Bible Study and Teen Bible Study meet at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays. Additionally, we offer Small Group Bible Studies (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall Academies) throughout the year under our teaching umbrella, Street University.
